What does it mean to be a man?

XY at the Spencer Museum of Art

This  art exhibition on the KU campus is offered by the Spencer Museum of Art to explore the many and complex meanings of manhood.  It’s up on the second floor, kind of in the back, but well worth the extra steps to see it.   Some big names like Andy Warhol (NOT the soup cans), Robert Mapplethorpe, and also some excellent local talent.    Divided into six sections: “Forever Young,” “Naked,” “The Clothes Make the Man,” “Work Hard; Play Harder,” “Degrees of Desire,” and “Man Enough.”

The exhibition contains adult themes and viewer discretion is advised.
