The Laramie Project

If you are free on Friday, try to see this FREE performance of The Laramie Project:

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Week, the LGBT Resource Center, PhD student Director Scott Knowles, and actors from the University Theatre will present a staged reading of The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic Theater Project. Following the performance will be a short discussion exploring the causes of sexual assault in society today, how we can prevent it, and where victims can receive help.
The Laramie Project is about the reaction to the brutal murder of gay college student, Matthew Shepard, in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998. The play explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
