NetworQ Outing to Uncle Bo’s Blues Club on November 17th!

Do you love live music?  Are you a fan of the blues?  Why not join fellow NetworQ members Derrick Mahoney and Arla Jones in the VIP Room @ Uncle Bo’s in beautiful downtown Topeka, Kansas?

This fabulous (yes!) blues venue will be celebrating its 800th show since opening in the basement of the Ramada Inn, just off I-70, a short, and quick drive from Lawrence.  Show starts at 8:30, but if you’d like to meet to carpool over, drop us a line and we’ll find a place to meet and head on over to Topeka.

Performing on Saturday, November 17th will be Anthony Gomes, who was born in Toronto, Canada, to a Portuguese father and a French-Canadian mother.  Gomes began playing guitar in his early teens and was drawn to the blues sounds of B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. While he honed his skills in the blues bars at night, Gomes earned a Master’s Degree in history from the University of Toronto focusing on the ‘Racial Evolution of Blues Music’.

You can learn more about Anthony and hear/see his music on his website.
